We have new shows for 2009!
Puppets Pizzazz has done it again! We have developed creative and clever new skits and songs that are guaranteed to tickle anyone’s funny-bone no matter how old you are. Puppets Pizzazz has been successfully entertaining children of all ages at Libraries, Festivals, Camps, Birthday Parties, Schools, Daycares, Family Reunions, Synagogues, Churches and Nursing Homes since 1989.The show is forty minutes [for b-day parties] and forty-five minutes for large audiences. It consists of eight to nine short skits and songs that are each about two to three minutes long. In between each act an emcee puppet [customized for your occasion] keeps the show rolling with some funny jokes and riddles. We use about twenty-two colorful original puppets. Each puppet is about 14 inches high, visually enticing and guaranteed to hold even the youngest child’s attention. Midway into the show is audience participation time! We get the audience up dancing and singing to songs like “Shake Your Tail Feathers” and “Aiko-Aiko.” Gooney the Monkey puppet is always a favorite as he tries to trick Barbara or Bob by coming out behind them with underwear on his head while they are performing a sing-along. The finale song is always a special one that has everyone hopping or dancing while bubbles float over the top of the stage.
What makes our show so uniquely personalized is that your occasion or topic is mentioned throughout the performance. At the end of every Birthday Show we have the birthday child come up to the stage and everyone sings (with our birthday cake puppet) “Happy Birthday.” The birthday child even gets a present from us, a puppet, a book or CD which they keep and enjoy!
Our shows will both entertain and teach children. By utilizing and performing current and original songs, silly skits and audience participation, we keep the children mesmerized throughout the whole show. For example, we perform a satire on the Hanna Montana song “Jumping to the Party” with our animals that jump. Songs from “High School Musical” such as “Fabulous” and “Bop Till You Stop” are re-written to make you laugh. “I Want My Lunch Back” is a take-off on a familiar Justin Timberlake song. Our Blues Brothers Snowmen puppets have all the kids Crazy Dancing and our Bell puppet amusingly just can’t seem to get the song right. As professional performers for 20 years, we have a library of shows from which to choose. Some special performance themes are Halloween, Harvest Day, Christmas, Holidays, Special Needs, Health, Nutrition and Hygiene, Bullying, Safety, Conflict and Resolution, Insects and You, Celebrate the Arts, Wintertime Shows, Summertime Fun and Earth Day.
